Painting Vistas May 4 – 6, 2026 with Peggy Root

In this three-day intensive outdoor painting workshop, we will paint two sessions a day, focusing on design, form and atmosphere. We will paint amazing views from a high hill in Gray, Tennessee, where flowers and trees frame wide expanses of farmland, forest and mountain ranges. The owners of Eden’s Vista (www.edensvista.com) are graciously welcoming our group to this gorgeous farm/venue and giving us the added option of purchasing a fresh lunch and homemade gelato daily onsite, if desired. There is ample parking below and limited parking above, so we will be carpooling and shuttling up the hill for convenience and accessibility for our painters. Please write or call for more details.

For out-of-towners: Two upscale suites and a lovely apartment are available for rent onsite as well as the many offsite lodging options, grocery stores, restaurants and shops in the Tri-city region. Write or call us for additional information about the workshop. We will be painting from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday – Wednesday. The price of the three-day workshop is $425. A suggested supply list, set-up ideas and workshop details will be sent out to all participants.
